Art Education
The Center offers a full range of studio classes and workshops for adults in a variety of media including oil, acrylic and watercolor painting, ceramics, pottery, cartoon, photography, pastels and special subjects. Instructors are professional educational activity artists year-round for all ages and skill levels.
Children enjoy sequential learning through an exploration of a variety of media in age-specific overview classes, or in-depth experience with drawing, painting or ceramics. A ten-week summer fine art camp is also offered.
Art Exhibitions
The Heart for Contemporary Art presents rotating exhibitions of gimmicky art, provides exhibition opportunities for members, and hosts an almanac International Jrried Exhibitions as well as Youth Fine art Month exhibitions for Somerset County.
Art Outreach Programs
The Center for Contemporary Art recognizes the diversity of its customs'southward abilities and needs and is committed to enabling all visitors to experience the benefits of arts educational activity. Outreach programs are designed in response to specific needs and provide an outlet for creative expression in a safe, supportive setting.
Programs are offered for adults afflicted by cancer, adults with disabilities, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs, homeless teens, senior citizens , teens in recovery from substance abuse.
In addition, The Heart's ceramic studio features the area's only wheelchair accessible pottery wheel.
